Come On, Let's Go!

Allez, Viens! takes you to the industrial area of Maastricht where a motley crew of nine young women live in a close-knit community. They strive to live an anti-capitalist lifestyle by sharing all their possessions, food and spaces. While sisters Anna and Amber make plans for their futures apart, it soon becomes clear that adventure is waiting and the girls will each have to prepare to venture off into the unknown.

One Simple Question

One Simple Question is a story of a young couple who seek adventure, shed the comforts of land, and begin a life at sea aboard a small sailboat. Their goal is simple — sail north until they find an iceberg. But they’ll need to sail over 1600 miles before the first sign of ice. The journey takes them from the suburbs of New York to the scenic grandeur of Newfoundland and ultimately to a little known place called Iceberg Alley. What they didn’t anticipate was that they would find a massive piece of the Petermann Ice Island, the record breaking iceberg that drew the attention of climate scientists worldwide.

UNDUNE

Undune is a documentary about Terra Preta, Toilets and Mars.

Terra Preta is a fertile, water storing black soil that can be created out of all types of organic waste including our feces. Yes, feces, they're inevitable, and when we flush them away, we are wasting our waste while contaminating valuable drinking water.
In Undune, the knowledge about Terra Preta is discovered by Gregor: he wants to support the colonization of Mars and identifies the cycle of nutrients and water as the main challenge. Through conversations with Terra Preta pioneers and small experiments, he develops a system to make human feces and other organic material usable on a mars base. Gregors daydreams about an alien space explorer bring the perspective down to Earth, where Gregors dialog partners see the largest potential for Terra Preta.
At the end, there remains just one question: Is there such a thing as useless shit?

Director: Dennis Rätzel

Undune is the debut film of Dennis.

Ninì

In the summer of 1932, Gabriele Boccalatte and Nini Pietrasanta met. They met on the Monte Bianco, they climbed it together and thus fell in love.
Their great alpine years go exactly from 1932 to 1936- the year in which they got married. They, as a roped party, pioneered some of the toughest alpine routes. They used to keep journals and take pictures in order to keep a record of their achievements.
Ninì, that was one of the very few female climbers of those years, would carry a 16mm film camera with her, during her climbs.
In 1937, their son Lorenzo was born, and, in 1938, Gabriele died, falling from a mountain wall. Ninì, then, gave up extreme climbing and focused on her role as a mother.
Some years after Ninì’s death, in 2000, her son Lorenzo found the reels his mother had been shooting, hidden in an old case.
